A VICTORIAN SENTIMENTAL HEART SHAPED LOCKET ENAMELLED WITH THE PRINCE OF WALES FEATHERS CIRCA 1888The heart shaped locket with a trio of feathers within a coronet signifying the child of the Sovereign, with enamelled motto ÉSTATO AVUTO upon a bright blue ground, verso with a glazed locket panel, with engraved sentiment My Hearts Desire 14th February 1888Size/dimensions: 3cm longGross weight: 8.7 gramsThe enamelled design is after the Prince of Wales feathers, however the motto is not the same. The motto on this piece loosely translates to It Was Had, and dates to the period when Albert Edward was the Prince of Wales, who later became King Edward VII.Condition Report: There is some light wear and scuffs to the setting, the glazed panel at the back is vacant, a couple of small nibbles to the enamel Condition Report Disclaimer
