1837 H10C No Stars, Small Date (Flat Top 1) MS66 NGC. 1837 was the first year of the Seated half dime design, and the sole date that the No Stars subtype was coined at Philadelphia. Two date styles are known, with the Small Date moderately scarcer than the Large Date. The present Premium Gem offers semiprooflike fields. The borders display cobalt-blue and lavender toning. The open fields are pearl-gray. Both sides exhibit a partial wire rim. Census: 3 in 66, 4 finer (11/23).
