1877 $20 MS62 NGC. The Type Three reverse was introduced on the double eagle in 1877, featuring the denomination fully spelled out, among other changes to the orientation of the central relief elements. On the obverse, the Liberty portrait was also modified to include sharper detailing in the hair. This Mint State coin displays softly frosted peach-gold color with minor abrasions. Eye appeal pleases for the grade.
