Screw-top bottle with pewter mounting Altenburg, A. 18th c. Light gray, ocher engobed stoneware with salt glaze, partly painted in ocher. On the egg-shaped, quadruple-flattened wall applied decor: relief overlays framed by rosette scrolls with the coat of arms of Saxony, double-headed eagle and heraldic lion, the latter two inscribed with monogram ''HM''. Star-shaped flowers in the corners. Circumferential ornamental borders. Pewter stand ring and screw top, the carrying ring in the shape of two dolphins.
