(t) CHINA. Hupeh. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1909-11). PCGS EF-40 Gold Shield.
L&M-187; K-45; KM-Y-131; WS-0881. Variety with raised swirl of fiery pearl and double die obverse. A wholesome survivor that is far more interesting than normally encountered being struck with a doubled obverse die. Light attractive mottled patina with areas of minor earthen deposits offering much originality. The PCGS insert incorrectly indicates that the swirl is incuse; due to the obverse die being doubled, including the swirl, the swirl is actually raised creating an optical illusion of being incuse.

Estimate: $600.00- $800.00
